part2

Even though I just posted earlier I decided to make another post today. Mostly it's because I was excited about how cute my blog looks. Thanks to Katie.

On to part two of my epic fall adventures.
The next leg of tour was Indianapolis, Indiana. I flew up to STL and me and Michelle drove to Indy from there. It took about 5 hours and when we got there it was raining so we decided to sleep in the car. We woke up got numbers and tried to stay dry. We took the walk, and ended up walking with sherwood, steel train and hellogoodbye. They were a lot of fun. We waited around outside some more and security honored the numbers. Well that was all shot to hell once we got inside because people were insane there. After standing in the crowd for like 5 minutes we decided that we didn't want to be part of the crowd. We kind of hung around and sat down and just chilled. After the show we got on the road to go to Michigan.

We drove until about 3 or 4 in the morning and got to the hotel and slept like logs. We went to the venue a little bit before the walk. I wasn't a huge fan of Michigan and it was probably because of where we were..Detroit. Security did a pretty good job taking care of us with the homeless people coming over and haggling us every few minutes. Did I mention I had a meet and greet in Detroit? Yeah I did. So what that meant was at 5:30 (an hour before doors) and me my meet and greet group (of about 10) got to go inside and backstage (well it was like underground backstage) and meet the band. We waited for about 20 minutes and the boys finally came in and we got to talk to them for a little bit, get autographs and take a group picture with them. It was pretty awesome. Oh and we were allowed to stay in the venue and were the first people let in the general admission area. It was weird though because out of 10 only 4 of us stayed in the venue and got up front. Let me just say once you go front row you want nothing else. Katie, one of the girls from my meet and greet group, and I were front row towards Taylor's side. We got setlists, guitar picks and the experience of a life time. After the show we were trying to go back Michelle's car, but security wouldn't let us without being escorted because all 3 boys were out there signing stuff. We eventually did leave and headed towards Chicago.

After driving most of the night, again, we made it to Michelle's brother's house. Since I was so exhausted I decided that I should probably sleep and decided to skip the walk and just get in line at the time of doors. We went to this burger restaurant and just kind of chilled out the whole day. Which was a nice change from the constant go-go-go from the past few days. Michelle ended up not going because she was going to catch up with some school work. So I went by myself. It was a great show. They did an encore with cheap trick. After that Michelle came and got me and we headed back to STL. I'm not sure if I ever went to sleep. I got home in one piece and I got to meet my precious nephew.

Okay, this isn't a picture of Gabriel when he was a newborn, but he was in ICU and I didn't take any pictures there. But here he is. I love him and he is the sweetest baby in the world.

  1. You're quite welcome! It looks fab, super cute blog! These two entries have made me miss tour more than you know, and now I can't even wait, especially since I've met DECENT fans that totally get music. Yay! Love the pics!
